It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this blog and a lot has changed in that span of time.
I got hired in my first full time, salaried job as a video editor and animator. Equal parts exciting and terrifying.
I moved to Venice, California without having ever traveled to the west coast before. Also equal parts exciting and terrifying.
And I am having to scramble through the overwhelmingness of being a real adult while also being the furthest away from my family that I’ve ever been. It adds an entire new level of worry for me knowing that I can’t quickly go see my parents or sister or that they aren’t able to physically be here to help me when I hit a road bump. Phone calls and texting have become a very frequent and common occurrence as a result. :)
Even though change, especially one that feels so huge, can be stressful and frightening, I think I am ready for a fresh start. New job, new environment, new me. I’m trying really hard to focus my energy on what makes me happy and to not be too critical of myself or put too much expectation and pressure on myself. I’m going to make mistakes, that’s what life is. Learning from the mistakes I make and adapting to the new circumstances I find myself in.
I’m looking forward to new adventures and getting back to sharing my thinkings here along the way.
